A research can be classified from three perspectives: Application, objectives and the type of information thought . A research project may be classified as pure or applied research (from the perspective of application) as in most social researches, or as a descriptive, correlational, explanatory or exploratory research ( from the perspective of objectives) and as quantitative or qualitative (from the perspective of the type of information thought).
