This course provides an introduction to the field of parasitology, focusing on the biology and interactions between parasites and their hosts. Topics covered include the classification and morphology of major parasitic groups (protozoa, helminths, and arthropods), their life cycles, mechanisms of transmission, and the diseases they cause in humans and animals. Emphasis is placed on the principles of host-pathogen interactions, immune responses, and the impact of parasitic infections on public health and ecosystems. The course also explores methods for diagnosing, controlling, and preventing parasitic diseases, preparing students for advanced studies in biology, medicine, or public health.

Welcome to "Biodiversity of parasites," an in-depth exploration of the intricate world of parasitism and its fascinating biodiversity. In this course, we will embark on a journey through the realms of parasitic organisms, unraveling the complexities of their interactions and the incredible diversity they exhibit.
