The environmental problems directly related to energy production and consumption include air pollution, climate change, water pollution, thermal pollution, and solid waste disposal.

To solve engineering problems, data must be collected, described, and analyzed to produce summary information. The role of descriptive statistics is to give a summary idea of the data by calculating a number of statistics and by graphical representations.
The course aims to introduce students to the basic principles of statistics. Learn the main techniques of univariate and bivariate descriptive statistics.
It mainly aims to introduce the fundamental concepts and elementary methods of statistics to enable subsequent independent learning of complementary methods.
We want to develop the critical sense necessary when implementing and interpreting statistical processing. To do this, we will introduce and use a rigorous mathematical framework. We will provide as many examples as necessary in order to obtain a better understanding of the course.
