
This course provides an overview of the key principles, techniques, and practices involved in English language teaching. It aims to equip future teachers with the pedagogical knowledge and practical skills necessary to design, deliver, and evaluate effective English language lessons. Students will explore the nature of language learning and teaching across the four main language skills like listening, speaking, reading, and writing as well as grammar and vocabulary instruction.
Throughout the course, participants will learn how to develop coherent and goal-oriented lesson plans, apply appropriate methodologies for teaching receptive and productive skills, and integrate assessment and evaluation techniques to measure learners’ progress. The course also introduces concepts of pre-service and in-service teacher training, encouraging continuous professional growth and reflective teaching practices.
By the end of the course, students will be able to plan, teach, and assess language lessons effectively, demonstrating both theoretical understanding and classroom applicability.
