Its primary goal is to protect people from electric shocks (both direct and indirect) and to protect electrical installations from damage caused by overloads, short circuits, or insulation failures.

It relies on several essential elements, including compliance with standards, equipment grounding, and the use of protective devices such as circuit breakers, fuses, and ground-fault circuit interrupters (GFCIs). Electrical safety also includes practices such as regular maintenance, inspection of installations, and user training.

As such, it plays a fundamental role in preventing accidents, improving the reliability of electrical systems, and ensuring a safe environment, both in homes and in industrial facilities.

Ce cours de production de l’énergie électrique, destiné aux étudiants de Licence, vise à présenter les différentes techniques utilisées pour la génération de l’électricité allant des moyens conventionnels jusqu’aux techniques les plus modernes. Ce cours, réparti sur huit chapitres, est présenté dans une manière assez simple afin de permettre à l’étudiant d’assimiler le principe de fonctionnement des différentes centrales et techniques de production.

Ce cours, réparti sur quatre chapitres : introduction au système de production, structure d’un système de production, partie commande et partie opérative, architecture des systèmes de production.
