Designed to facilitate understanding, learning, and revision, this material provides a straightforward course to support third-year electrical engineering “electrotechnics” students, up to the exam. This course material brings together essential knowledge by addressing the operation, structure, technology, and implementation of electrical equipment used in electrical networks (transport, distribution, etc.).
In its first part, it enables students to understand the structure of electrical devices used in electrical networks, such as circuit breakers, switches, disconnectors, and contactors, as well as to make choices and size electrical equipment appropriately.
The second part of this material will allow learners to read electrical schematics, distinguish between their representations, and understand the identification and significance of markings on electrical schematics.
