Study Skills course is designed to guide and support first-year learners as they take their first steps at university. It also aims to make learners active and independent by encouraging them to use a range of effective techniques when learning in the classroom, to help them adapt to the new rhythms of university life and learning, and to show them how to manage their studies effectively at university or even at home.

The main aim of this course is to provide EFL students with a better understanding of paragraph writing. It focuses on the structure of an effective topic sentence, the main function of supporting and concluding sentences, and an overview of all types of paragraphs (descriptive, narrative, expository, argumentative).

The course of Phonetics is intended for 1st year licence students. It is an introduction to the study of human speech sounds including both theory and practice. Theoretically, this course provides the students with  knowledge on the field of phonetics: concepts and definitions. Practically, the students are provided with a set of practical activities and exercises which deal mainly with  transcription of the English consonants  and vowels.
